Discover how mindfulness can support your wellbeing and help you cope with everyday challenges.
When you’re dealing with something difficult — whether that’s a health challenge, stress or the normal ups and downs of life — it can sometimes feel like it’s taking over everything: your sleep, your thoughts, your mood, even your sense of self.
In this session we’ll explore why difficulties can sometimes snowball once worry, tension or resistance begin to build around them and how mindfulness can help you step out of that cycle and handle challenges with greater calm and clarity.
What to expect
During the session we will explore:
- How mindfulness works and its health benefits
- Short, guided practices, including a body scan
- A different way to approach challenges
- Practical ways to soften tension in body and mind
- Any questions you may have
What you’ll take away
- Simple practices you can use when challenges arise
- A different perspective on stress, pain and difficult thoughts
- A guided body scan recording to support your practice
Who this is for
Anyone interested in supporting their wellbeing, including people living with chronic pain, fatigue, stress or other long-term health conditions.
No previous mindfulness experience is necessary.
About the facilitator
Laura Minihane turned to mindfulness in 2017 while coping with pain and the stress of an illness that had not yet been diagnosed. It helped her so much that she decided to train so she could offer the same kind of support to others facing similar challenges.
She began mindfulness teacher training in 2019 and qualified in 2025. Laura is trained in the Breathworks approach, a mindfulness-based pain management programme developed for people living with chronic pain, long-term health conditions and stress. She now teaches mindfulness courses and workshops through Well Aware, helping people find ways to make living with pain, illness and stress feel a little more manageable.
